Interview with Silent Force
by Ed Latorre

Silent Force was founded in 1999 by Alex Beyrodt tired of being in Sinner
and of being in the shadow of somebody else. He played in Sinner for twelve
years and with Primal Fear for a tour in Japan, Brazil, and Europe. Now he
is the leader of his own band...

It is well known that DC Cooper (ex-royal hunt) is the singer, can you present the rest ot the band?

We have Torsten Röhre on Keys, Andre Hilgers on Drums and Jürgen Steinmetz on Bass

The band has released two CD's, the last one is called "Infatuator". I think is a very varied album, so what kind of audience is it addressed.

Well, we call ourselfs a "European Power Metal Band" and so is our audience looking, :-)

There is a trilogy of songs about the Roman empire, can you give us a little explanation about the history?

Well, I'm a huge fan of the Roman Empire and I'm very interested in this historical stuff. So, I thaugt everybody is writing music and lyrics about dragons and swords...but nobody ever wrote about the Roman Empire. I started
to write music which has an Roman Influence......we all know the movies and I tried to get influenced by that music. It was a big challenge and I had a lot of fun...and, to be honest....I'm a little bit proud about the result. :-)

How arose the idea to add a version of Judas Priest?

Well, this was a band decision, but DC had the idea to play the song. We where looking for a song to end our shows during the tour with Stratovarius. DC said "why don't we play All Guns Blazing.....and so we tried to play the
song. It sounded great and it felt like a song of our own. After the tour we talked about the next album and we decided to put the song on the album. If you have a singer which almost became the new Judas Priest Singer, you are allowed to do this :-)
