QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE - Explain LANEGAN's Absence
|
|
NME.com is reporting that vocalist Mark Lanegan has left the QUEENS OF THE
STONE AGE U.S. tour under mysterious circumstances, fuelling rumors of a
fight between him and QUEENS leader Josh Homme.
On Monday (April 4), the band released a statement on their official web
site, confirming that Lanegan had taken a break due to "exhaustion," but
rejected Internet rumors that there was anything more to it.
Mark Lanegan is taking a brief sebatical from the ongoing QUEENS tour due
to exhaustion," the statement reads. "The band would like to wish a speedy
recovery, so that he can return back tour the touring QUEENS circus ASAP.
Joshua & Mark have already been in discussions to figure out when Mark will
be able to return. And finally the band stresses that all other rumors regarding
this subject should be written down, burned & the ashes pushed in to your
eyes so that you are unable to find your watercooler/sewing circle."
