VELVET REVOLVER fan site Velvet-Revolver.com is currently hosting a video
and audio file of VR frontman Scott Weiland performing a new song for NBC-TV's
"Last Call With Carson Daly". The song, "The Man I Didn't Know", which was
performed last week in front of an in-studio audience at the Hollywood Palladium
in Los Angeles, is described as a "loose-limbed and poignant country rock
ballad" about Scott's father, and features a band that includes the unlikely
match-up of a pedal steel guitarist and steel drummer. Weiland goes on to
explain, "I met Tim McGraw at the Grammys, when we sang 'Across the Universe'
together for tsunami relief and we talked about singing a song together.
This is the song I wrote for us to sing."
