The "Doomsday Machine" cover was designed by German artist Joachim Luetke
(www.luetke.com), who has created arresting images for a variety of venues,
including posters, ads and CDs. Born in 1957 in Germany, he studied art
in Switzerland during the late seventies, and improved his unique, disturbing
talent at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria from 1980 to 1986.
He still lives in Vienna as a successful multimedia artist.
Commented ARCH ENEMY guitarist/songwriter Michael Amott: "We are all extremely
pleased with the artwork for the new album! I had a few ideas initially
that I discussed with Joachim Luetke on the phone, and when he started sending
over images we were seriously blown away  when you work with creative
people of this caliber, you just let them do what they do, so we just let
him get on with it really! He's a very productive guy, very sharp. He expanded
on the 'Doomsday Machine' concept and took it to some really interesting
(albeit very dark!) places. It's one of those great situations when the
artwork totally works with the music. Simply awesome."
"Doomsday Machine" is scheduled for release on July 26 (one day earlier
internationally) via Century Media Records. Songtitles set to appear on
the CD include "Enter the Machine" (intro), "Skeleton Dance", "My Apocalypse",
"Carry the Cross", "I Am Legend/Out for Blood", "Mechanic God Creation",
"Machtkampf", "Slaves of Yesterday", "We Are One", "Taking Back My Soul",
"Opium" and "Hybrids of Steel" (instrumental).
"Doomsday Machine" was co-produced by the band and Rickard Bengtsson at
Slaughterhouse Studio in Sweden and was mixed by Andy Sneap at Backstage
Studios in Derbyshire, U.K.
