	OTEP - Frontwoman To Guest On HBO's 'Def Poetry Jam' This Friday
	OTEP frontwoman Otep Shamaya will appear on HBO's "Def Poetry Jam" this Friday, August 5. To view the teaser trailer for this episode, click here. [http://www.otep.com/defpoetry.3gp] Best described as a performance poetry event, "Def Poetry Jam" features poets who blend hip-hop � poetry's musical cousin � with the written and spoken word. OTEP's sophomore album, "House of Secrets" (2004), was produced by Greg Wells, who has previously worked with a diverse range of artists, including the DEFTONES, MICHELLE BRANCH, and ELTON JOHN. The follow-up to 2002's "Sevas Tra" was recorded at Los Angeles' Rocket Carousel Studios and features guest drumming on six tracks by SLIPKNOT basher Joey Jordison.
