FIREBALL MINISTRY - Bassist Sits Out OPETH, CKY Tours
|
|
Los Angeles-based quartet FIREBALL MINISTRY have recruited Jason and Josh
Diamond from PUNY HUMAN to handle the bass duties on the OPETH and CKY tours
after the group's regular bassist, Johnny Chow (a.k.a. John Mark Bechtel,
ex-SYSTEMATIC, MY RUIN), was forced to take time out during October while
awaiting the birth of his child. Chow is expected to resume touring with
the band in November for the "Viva La Bands Tour" alongside H.I.M., FINCH
and SKINDRED.
FIREBALL MINISTRY will release their new offering, "Their Rock Is Not Our
Rock" (Liquor and Poker Music) — the follow-up to their critically acclaimed
"The Second Great Awakening" — October 18. In addition, FIREBALL MINISTRY
currently appears on the recently released "Bam Margera Presents: Viva La
Bands" compilation CD.
For "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock", FIREBALL MINISTRY re-teamed with producer
Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER). Recorded at Dave Grohl's
Studio 606 West as well as the late Elliott Smith's New Monkey Studios,
"Their Rock Is Not Our Rock" is already garnering early critical buzz.
