ACCEPT - No Reunion CD Or DVD Planned
|
|
The management of U.D.O., the German band led by former ACCEPT frontman
Udo Dirkschneider, has issued a statement refuting reports that the previously
announced ACCEPT reunion may lead to U.D.O.'s break-up.
According to the management, the upcoming ACCEPT reunion is not a proper
"reunion" per se, but is rather an opportunity for some of the group's original
members to come together and perform a few live shows to celebrate the group's
25-year anniversary. "They [ACCEPT] will not come out with any CD or DVD,"
the statetement reads. "U.D.O. is alive. They're going to start recording
the new album in December. The album will come out in October 2005. The
new tour'll start in February 2006."
As previously reported, ACCEPT have been confirmed as one of two headliners
for next year's Rock Hard festival in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The band will
most likely consist of original members Udo Dirkschneider (vocals), Wolf
Hoffman (guitars) and Peter Baltes (bass). Whether original drummer Stefan
Kaufmann and guitar player Jörg Fischer will be part of the reunited lineup
has yet to be confirmed.
ACCEPT are expected to announce several other festival appearances next
summer, including Sweden Rock in Sweden and Gods of Metal in Italy.
