KATAKLYSM - Announce Final Shows Of 2005
|
|
Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM have lined up the following shows in
December:
Dec. 15 - Quebec City, QUE @ Kashmir
Dec. 16 - Toronto, ONT @ The Marquee
Dec. 17 - Trois-Rivieres, QUE @ The Manchester
KATAKLYSM singer Maurizio Iacono announced on the band's official forum
that the first MP3 from the group's upcoming album, "In the Arms of Devastation",
for the song "Like Angels Weeping (The Dark)", will be released on January
1, 2006.
As previously reported, the Canadian death metallers have tapped director
Maurice Swinkels from LowlifeMedia (EXODUS, ABORTED, GOREFEST) to film the
band's video for the track "Crippled & Broken", from the forthcoming album,
"In the Arms of Devastation". The conceptual clip will be shot in Amsterdam,
Netherlands in early March, shortly prior to the band's European co-headlining
tour as part of the No Mercy festival.
KATAKLYSM's new album, "In the Arms of Devastation", was mixed in Denmark
by acclaimed producer Tue Madsen. A February 20, 2006 release via Nuclear
Blast Records is expected.
Commented KATAKLYSM guitarist/producer Jean-François Dagenais: "The new
album is at the record label, gearing up for production as we speak. Tue
Madsen did a phenomenal job on the mix. The album sounds very powerful and
very well balanced. Everyone at Nuclear Blast in Europe and the States seem
to think this is our strongest album to date (that makes you feel very confident,
I must say!). They are very excited and so are we.
"For me this album is just another piece to the KATAKLYSM puzzle but a very
important one indeed. We really found our niche and the the determination
of the band is felt all over this record. I think our fans will dig this
one a lot!!"
